This is a unique collection of genuine British Coins and Stamps and is a limited edition of 1,000. A celebration of a number of sporting events during the 20th century, sports feature include: Rugby, Swimming, Lawn Tennis, Cycling, Boxing and Cricket – such legendary sports stars and feats commemorated include W.G Grace & Len Hutton (Cricket), Lucy Morton (Swimming), Fred Perry (Tennis), Roger Bannister (Althletics – 4 minute mile) and of course the England’s greatest sporting achievement of the 20th Century the 1996 World Cup Truimph. All the stamps are geniune and are unused.
The display is divided into 4 quarters 1900 – 1925, 1926 – 1950, 1951 – 1975 and 1976 – 1999 with a combination of coins or stamps commemorating events during these periods. The coins and stamps are fixed to black background and each has gold text describing the reason for the issue of the appropriate coin or stamp. The piece is complimented by a gold colour mounting and finished off in a dark wood frame – the overall size of the piece measures 17inches x 13inches.
